Students can improve SAT, ACT scores by entering national competition

Story by Anaya Truss-Williams, Staff Writer

East Meck freshmen, sophomores and juniors are now eligible to compete in this year’s All American Academic Bowl (AAAB).

The AAAB is a national competition which gives students a chance to practice for their ACTs and SATs. It is free to take the competition’s practice tests and to practice for SAT and ACT tests if you are registered. Unfortunately, seniors can’t participate in the AAAB.

Once you are registered, you are entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to get a $50 gift card.

All students can take the Level I practice tests individually until October 25. If you would like to compete in the team competition you have to pay a one time fee of $50. Team registration begins November 1 and ends November 20, which is also the deadline for the teams to take the Level I tests. Teams that score in the top 50 percent are able to take the Level II team test Feb. 1-15, 2017.

By participating in the All American Academic Bowl you can improve your test scores, get entered in a gift card giveaway, participate in a national competition without traveling and prepare yourself for your SAT and ACT tests.
