The Marching Eagles won third place overall and first place overall in its size category at the Ledford Festival of Bands.

The band also won first place marching, first place guard, first place percussion, first place music, first place general effect and second place drum major in its size category at the Oct 2 competition held in Thomasville.

The Oct. 8 competition was canceled due to Hurricane Matthew. The Marching Eagles will compete in two more contests during the month of October.
