Welcome to The Active Eagle! On this blog, I hope to share my passion for an active and healthy lifestyle with you. Some things that you can expect to see include recipes and cooking posts, posts on workouts, commentary about a healthy lifestyle and any favorite routines or products that I would love to share!
To start, here is some background on my experience with a healthy lifestyle. I absolutely love leading a healthy and fit life. I feel like when I practice good eating habits and exercise regularly, I feel like I have more energy, I am in an overall better mood, and I see positive effects on my physical health, but also my mental health.
My primary mode of exercise is running. I am on the cross country team at East and I love running long distances. I have ran three half marathons, my first one in Nov. 2016 and I plan to get two more in in the coming spring semester and hopefully run a full in the future. Running is what helps me to take my mind off of things. Whenever I am upset, I make myself get up and run because I know that I will feel better after, and I always do.
Of course, running is not for everyone, and I don’t plan to make this blog a personal running diary, but it is a pig part of my life. On top of running, I take dance class and like to swim, bike and do yoga.
Along with exercise, cooking is one of my favorite things to do, it’s another form of stress relief almost. I love making healthy meals and trying new things, and I am excited to share that on this blog.
I hope that my account of my attempts at a healthy lifestyle can interest and even help you in your own life.
