The Lady Eagles volleyball team triumphed over Butler with a 3-1 win Thursday Sept. 30 on Senior Night.
Not only did the Lady Eagles celebrate their win, but also honored their graduating senior players, Liza Pringle and Catherine Moore.
East took the lead, winning the first set of the night. Butler then edged their way in, gaining a win for the second set. Despite the temporary setback, East took charge and dominated the third and fourth final sets.
The Senior Night crowd brought in family and friends that filled the stands top to bottom. Cheering was heard from outside the doors and the high energy was vibrating off the walls.
“We faced a tough game, but a mixture of our will to win and the loud crowds really boosted the motivation,” said junior player Genesis Alanis.
The Lady Eagles next play on Oct. 7 at Independence.
