East Meck Soccer suffers loss to Independence
East Meck’s soccer team endured a 0-4 loss against Independence High School at home, Thursday, Sept. 14.
During the game, the team’s striker, Luis Alanis-Arroyo, suffered an ankle injury.
“I rolled my ankle and was on the ground,” Alanis-Arroyo said, “I told the referee I couldn’t play any longer.”
Alanis-Arroyo was required to sit out for the rest of the game even though he did not want to.
“It could’ve been different,” Alanis-Arroyo expressed, “it could’ve been better.”
Alanis-Arroyo was disappointed that this injury happened while playing against archrival Independence.
Fortunately, Alanis-Arroyo is currently in recovery.
This game leaves East’s season record to 3-4. Their next game is Friday, Sept. 15, at Porter Ridge.
