Student athletes sign for baseball, bowling
On Wednesday Nov. 8 Seniors Kalia Patterson and Luke Little were surrounded by their family and friends while they inked their signatures on the contracts that would pave their future careers as they enter the world of college sports.
Little was scouted for baseball by a number of colleges but, in the end chose Gardner Webb University as the college that felt right for him. “[I chose Gardner Webb] because the amount of money [they gave me] and I like the program and the coaches.” Little has plans to play in the Major Leagues, and major in Computer Science.
Patterson was scouted for her extremely high records in bowling, by Louisiana Tech University. Patterson is grateful for the support and encouragement she has received throughout the years.
“I would just like to thank my family friends and coaches,” Patterson said “Now we’ll see what the future holds,” she said.
