East Meck loses in tough game against Rocky River
The East Meck soccer team lost to Rocky River 2-0 Sept. 30. East was coming off a six-game win streak and looking to extend it, but Rocky River came out strong on defense, keeping the game scoreless at the half. The Eagles offense continued to struggle out the half and failed to put up any points in a game for the first time this year.
“We had multiple opportunities to score we just never finished,” senior captain Gustavo Gonzalez said.
The Eagles fall to 8-2 on the year and suffer their first conference loss. They will try and regain momentum Sept. 30 in a home game against an undefeated Myers Park team.
