Tyler Potts: Intro to Engineering
Q: What brought you to East and what stands out?
A: “I wanted to go somewhere I could teach within my career interest, meaning engineering.”
Q: Where are you from, and what university did you attend?
A: “I was born and raised in the costal region of North Carolina and Appalachian State.”
Q: What’s something thst you want the students and staff of East to know about you?
A: “I went from the coast of North Carolina, to the mountains, to the massive city of Charlotte, so I’ve been across basically the whole spread of North Carolina.”
Q: How do you feel about East so far?
A: “It’s quite good so far. I’m enjoying it a lot, the staff are generally just really nice, and the students are also incredibly nice too.”

Q: What brought you to East and what stands out?
A: “I got put here as a student teacher, assisting Coach Price. I loved it so much that I just stayed. As for anything that has stood out, the environment, students, and staff mainly.”
Q: Where are you from and what university did you attend?
A: “I was born in Charlotte, and grew up in Waxhaw. Then I moved back to Charlotte. I attended UNCC (University of North Carolina at Charlotte).”
Q: How do you feel about East so far?
A: “I’ve really enjoyed my time at East so far because of the great environment, students, and staff. The positive atmosphere makes me feel welcome and appreciated. The staff has been very friendly and supportive, and I know I can count on them for help during my first year.”

Q: Where are you from and what university did you go attend?
A: “I was born in South Carolina, went to Winthrop for undergraduate and UNCC for my graduate degree in counseling.”
Q: What’s something you want the students and staff of East to know about you?
A: “I love track and boxing. I love to travel and have been all across the country and world. My favorite place I’ve been in the U.S. is New Orleans, and when it comes to my favorite outside of the U.S. would’ve been Greece.”
Q: How do you feel about East so far?
A: “Loving it! The people and staff have really made me love East. The students and staff have also really made me love East, as the students are incredibly respectful and the staff have been really helpful with each other.”
