East Mecklenburg’s culinary arts team won first place at the recent CMS Stem2Fork competition.

The contest, held March 11 at UNCC City Center, tasked teams from various CMS high school with making the best appetizer in one hour with the items found in the mystery basket given to them.
East Meck team members Barbara Castro, Jackie Ricoy, Blair Riggsbee and Ryan Springer won first place and then participated in an additional cookoff against the team from South Mecklenburg, which the Eagle culinary arts crew also one.

Culinary arts teacher Mrs. Dale Richardson is  the adviser for the team.
