Kobe Bryant shares his feelings and thoughts on the 1996 draft night trade from the Charlotte Hornets, a day before stepping away from the game.

After a long and illustrious career spanning two decades, Kobe Bryant will hang up the old ball shoes. Before he rides off into the sunset he shares his thoughts on the team that drafted him and dealt him away within the same week. In a Facebook post Bryant writes “June 26, 1996… They told me they had no use for me. Rejection and anger fueled me. #HeroVillain #KB20.”
