Eagles basketball off to a solid start

The East Meck Eagles basketball team won against Harding University High at a non-conference home game on Monday night, 69-45. Senior Charvis Jones pulled the team into the lead scoring 4 three-pointers, 9 free throws, and 3 two-pointers for a total of 27 points, making him East Meck’s highest scorer of the night. He was followed by senior Seth Bradbury who scored a total of 13 points.

The Eagles suffered a loss to North Meck in another non-conference game at North Meck, 59-42. East Meck scored 23 points in the first half and and 13 in the second half. North Meck scored 32 in the first half and 27 in the second half.

East Meck’s overall record is 3-3. They will play their first conference game against Independence at home on Tuesday, December 6.
