Boys basketball starts solid record

The East Meck boy’s Varsity Basketball team is starting out the season adequately with 1-1 record.

The first game was a major win of 58-42 against the Providence panthers on Tues., Nov. 14. They had a lead throughout the game, with the exception of the third quarter when they had a score of 15-16. Sophomore Michael Dudley II scored 18 points for the team with two three-pointers.

The latter game was a loss of 51-71 against the Weddington warriors on Thurs., Nov. 16. They had the closest shot in the first quarter with 13-16, but scored less points over the rest of the game.

This game sets East’s record at 1-1. The next away game is at Sun Valley High School on Mon., Nov. 20.
