The East Mecklenburg varsity football team lost a tough game against the Independence Patriots. The Eagles lost 27-17, making their record 1-5.

At halftime, Independence lead 14 to 3, and the Eagles were able to score in the third and fourth quarters. This wasn’t enough to give them the edge over Independence.

East Meck plays Garinger next on October 5 at Garinger High School.
