Eagles lose to Garinger’s football team

East Meck football lost to the Garinger Wildcats Friday, October 5, 31-14. Garinger High has struggled in recent years, and this win was their win at home since 2011. The Eagles gave up 458 yards with 333 yards coming from the run.

“Going into the game the players the players were expecting to blow them out, we played down to them.” East Meck Head Coach Robert Forshee said.

East Meck has been struggling this year, so far this season they are (1-6) overall and (0-3) in the conference.

“We are still getting used to each other, this year is a growing year.” Forshee said.

East Meck quarterback, Trey Truitt went 13-25 on passing for 181 yards with one passing touchdown and one rushing. He has played a key role in the Eagles success this year. Next, East Meck will play Myers Park on Friday, October 19, after the cancellation of the Rocky River game.
