East struggles continue aginst Hickory Ridge

Story by Anthony Rodriguez, Staff Writer

The East Meck football team took a tough loss to the Hickory Ridge Ragin’ Bulls Nov. 1. 37-0. The Eagles were able to hold the Ragin’ Bulls to just seven points in the first quarter and scoreless in the third. Unfortunately, the bulls were able to put up 20-point second quarter and 10-point fourth quarter, and were too much for the Eagles to handle. The Eagles struggled offensively only gaining 118 total yards, 35 of which came through passing by junior Corey Hoke. Hoke also threw an interception. The streak of statistically poor offensive performances continue to be the Eagles downfall this season.

The Eagles move to 1-9 on the year and 0-6 in the conference as they prepare for their final game seeking one last win against the Butler Bulldogs Nov. 8 at home.
