The East Meck soccer team lost to Pinecrest 3-1 Nov. 9. The Eagles lost in the 2nd round of the state tournament after a first-round victory against Hoke County 5-2 Nov. 6. The game started off close and was tied up at halftime 1-1. The Eagles failed to keep up with Pinecrest in the second half giving up two goals while failing to score any points themselves.

It was an up and down season for the Eagles that ended in a tough loss. After starting the season 7-1 the Eagles struggled to win games and finished the rest of the season 5-9.

The Eagles will look to build off the moderate success from this year and work this offseason to improve and get back to the state tournament. With a year of work and 15 of their 20 players returning next year the future of East Meck soccer looks bright.
