Sports Blog: Panthers 2016-17 schedule released

Story by Anthony Patterson, Staff Writer

After coming off a defeat in Super Bowl 50 the Carolina Panthers are back on the prowl with the release of 2016-17 NFL schedule on Thursday.

The NFC Champion Panthers begin the season in Denver just 214 days after the defeat to the same team in the franchises second Super Bowl appearance. If that’s not interesting enough the Panthers will face another five teams who had a winning record last season as follows.

Minnesota Vikings (Week 3)

Arizona Cardinals (Week 8)

Kansas City Chiefs (Week 10)

Seattle Seahawks (Week 13)

Washington Redskins (Week 15)

The Carolina Panthers will play five games in prime time this season, which is an increase from last season’s two games. Two of this season’s prime time games will be at home at Bank of America Stadium against division foes Tampa Bay and New Orleans. The other three will be hosted in Denver, Seattle and Washington, DC.

Lots of interesting games to look forward to as the Carolina Panthers kick off the season on Sept. 8.
