Several changes are being planned by Student Congress for this year’s Spirit Week leading up to homecoming on Oct. 21.

The themes for the week are:

*Monday Oct. 17: Sports Day

*Tuesday Oct. 18: Time Traveler Day

*Wednesday Oct.19: Tie-Dye Day

*Thursday Oct. 20: Clone Day

*Friday Oct.21: East Meck Spirit Wear Day

Although there will not be a homecoming dance this year Student Congress members have come up with ways to improve the homecoming rally by making it more interactive. All the details have yet to be concluded.

This year clubs will not be required to participate in club walks and will take on a different project in place of the club flags. Student Congress hopes to keep the audience attentive and be better organized.

They have put much work in and expect it to go well.

“Homecoming this year is gonna be lit,” junior Aiyana Willoughby said.  “Student Congress is trying so hard this year.It’s gonna be so much fun.”
