After being postponed twice because of inclement weather, East Meck’s varsity football team played against the Hickory Ridge Raging Bulls on Oct. 29.

At the game, East Meck’s 2018 Homecoming Queen was crowned. Out of eleven nominees, senior Skyler Tabron was crowned at halftime. The runner-up was Charm Browne.

“It was a surreal experience because I was able to share it with my girls and we all were so excited no matter the outcome.” said Homecoming Queen nominee Rilee Rampersad. “Being a part of court is an experience I will never forget.”

The Eagles suffered a tough 41-7 loss at their annual homecoming football game. This loss brought the team to 1-10 for the 2018 season.

East was originally going to play Butler on Nov. 2 and Rocky River on Nov. 9 but they won’t due to an altercation with the Hickory Ridge football team. The Eagles were suspended because of misconduct and they will forfeit the final two games of the season.
